Hot 1035 presents Grammy Award winning artist Lecrae! The stage was lit! Havent seen such lighting at church before. They had it all up there! I took a couple of my nephews to their first concert. I got their a bit late and got this one shot of BrvndonP, soaking it up before Lecrae went on.
Norma Jean always brings it. This isnt the best venue in town but bands do their thing and it works out. I have seen Papa Roach, Neurosis, Soulfly, Training for Utopia, Kid Rock, Incubus, Staind, Killswitch Engage, some band Logan Mader was in for a bit after he left Machinehead, and quite a few local bands play here over the years.
Comrades from Colorado played and they are quite energetic, all three of them! They actually just hit Sac again recently in June.
There was another band, and I dont remember who it was! Here are some shots of Norma Jean below. Oh wait, He Is Legend! There was another band though.
I finally saw some sliver of Wu-Tang. Rage Against the Machine had Wu-Tang as main support for one of their tours years ago. Wu didnt make it to the SF date. I saw the Roots instead. This kinda makes up for it because Ghost did quite a bit of Wu-Tang material this night. I really wanted to hear tracks from Fishscale but he gave the people what they wanted! Listening to Wu for so long and seeing a member 15 feet in front of me had me giddy! Back in the 90s only seeing videos and mostly listening to them they become bigger than they really are because your mind just goes places. All you have to go by is interviews, and music and videos. Are they really that crazy like on the album cover? Do they all know Kung Fu? Are they Asian? I do NOT want asshole sewn shut.
SOOOOOOO to the show. It was dope. For Proteck Ya Neck, Ghostface had two dudes come up and do Method Mans and ODB, and U-Gods part. This one dude (shown below) got the mic for Method Mans part and killed it, and this other dude got the mic late for U-God, but did ODB, and got on stage again and did about 65 percent of the whole song until his voice gave out. He also had a hot ass Wu-Tang letterman jacket.
